Implementing and Activating HR3's hr module
When implementing hr, the order of tasks is vital. hr is an add-on module of HR3's payroll, and uses many elements within payroll, so the first stage of implementation involves setting up the payroll structure. This will normally be done in conjunction with an HR3 training consultant, who will advise you how long this stage will take – estimates will vary depending on the complexity of your business and a host of other factors.
When the first stage has been completed, the hr module will be activated
Within HRpack, you should first set up the HR framework, as this contains many building blocks of the system. Once that is completed, you can begin defining the organisation structure, which is comprised of positions and position incumbents.
The recommended procedure is to set up all positions from the top to bottom level, then return and insert the position incumbents at the relevant levels. If you choose, you can define positions and same-level incumbents together, working your way down the organisation chart, however this does not suit the workflow of the system as well.
Activating hr
- Login to HR3pay.
- From the Navigator go to Security | User Maintenance.
- Select the License node on the left.
- On the right, click on the Product Configuration tab.
- Select the HRpack box.
- Click Apply.
- In the pop-up box enter the activation key you have been given.
- Click OK.
The key should be accepted. If the system continues to ask for a key, try again in case you have entered it incorrectly. If the system will not accept the key, you must contact your HR3 consultant for assistance.
